Willow - Year 4
Welcome to Willow Class
Willow class is made up of 30 Year 4 children. The class teacher is Mrs Bewes on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, and Mrs Birt on a Tuesday.

Orienteering
Willow class have had a brilliant morning out in the fresh air at Norton Manor Camp. The children had the opportunity to use their map reading skills and venture into the woods! Well done to you all, you were superb today!
Viking Shields
The children really enjoyed showing and talking about their Viking shields. Thank you to all the families who worked together to make such an amazing range of armor!!
Happy New Year
Welcome back to the Spring term. We hope you all enjoyed your Christmas break.
Sports Festival
Year 4 had a fantastic time at Blackbrook Pavilion today taking part in the Net and Wall festival alongside other local schools.
They all joined in brilliantly and represented the school with amazing manners. Well done WIllow & Maple.
This week we have been working on our editing skills. The children have been proofreading their writing for any missed spellings or punctuation and looking to improve their word choices. We have also been peer editing and looking at each other’s work.
Viking visit
The children had a fantastic morning with our VIking visitor Bjorn Magnusson. The children learned about the viking longboats, Viking life and some of the Viking Gods. They enjoyed dressing up and joining to act out roles. We all had a great time.

Cinderella-
We had an amazing time at the Bristol HIppodrome watching the performance of Cinderella. The children were an absolute pleasure and a credit to the school.
Tag Rugby
Willow class had a great time this morning playing Tag Rugby in the sunshine.
Maths- Place Value September 2018
The children have enjoyed using the place value arrow cards to consolidate their understanding of 4 digit numbers this week.
Spellings Autumn 2018
Here are the spellings for this term. Your child will be given their new spellings every Tuesday and should practise them at home. If they want to do it in a different format than on the sheet they bring home, that is fine, the important thing is that they practise! They will have a week and will then be tested on the following Tuesday.
