Welcome to the Summer Term

A term of sunshine, lighter nights, sports day,  SATs for the Y6 and our school production - Alice in Wonderland - the musical.

SATs have been completed but in Y6 we are now focussed on achieving the best possible standard in our writing.

Y6 sharing their homework projects.

We are learning to play the Ukulele.

Here are some of Sycamore Class author and recommended book presentations. The children were confident and had enjoyed preparing and delivering these presentations to the other classes.

Welcome to the Spring Term!

This is a very important term especially for the Y6 as we prepare for SATs. Mrs  Birt will be joining our class and teaching on a Wednesday: she will teach PE in the  afternoon.

We had an amazing day at Easter Cracked- a re enactment of the Easter Story told by the Churches of North Taunton.

Y6 are preparing for their SATs week beginning May 8th. They have just completed some mock tests.

We are drafting letters of complaint.

Writing for a purpose - we thrilled and chilled Maple Class with our suspense stories.

We were invited to attend the screening of Hidden Figures by Into Film. We loved the film and wrote reviews following our visit to the cinema.

Our WOW entry art work to introduce a unit on Suspense. Do you think we created mood and atmosphere?

We had a wonderful time in Wells Cathedral- taking part in Play In  A Day - The Christmas Truce.

This linked into our WW1 topic.

Well done to Leah as she has learnt a poem off by heart!

Welcome to the Autumn term! As the days shorten and the nights grow colder, Sycamore Class continue to work with enthusiasm, drive and energy. We have fully embraced ' Purple Learning' and continually challenge ourselves.

The Y6 pupils have applied and been selected for Y6 Roles of Responsibility within the school: Worship Team, Charity Team and Admin Team.  Whilst the Y5 pupils have begun training for their roles as Playground Leaders.
