Wellbeing Champions

Wellbeing Champions

Here are our Wellbeing Champions for this year.

The role of the Wellbeing Champions is to promote and encourage positive wellbeing. They help monitor issues within the classroom that may be missed and are able to help direct other children to any support they may need. They work closely with Mrs Morris (SENCO) and Mrs Hill (Pastoral Enagement) where they look at ways of dealing with conflict as well as knowing how to signpost to adults. They are role models within their class and they are integral to the planning and delivering of our Wellbeing Days.

The Wellbeing Champions will also be assisting with the day to day running of the community Norton Food Hub, which is based on school grounds. They will also continue to raise money to ensure the free meals for vulnerable families at Skittles Coffee Shop continues to be available.

The Wellbeing Champions have started their training with the Mental Health Support Team as part of the whole school approach to wellbeing. They are thinking about ways in which they can raise money to buy buddy benches for the playground. They are focusing on aspects of mental health in children so they are able to support other pupils or signpost them to relevant adults in school.
