Welcome to Pine Class Page:
We are a class of 31 children. We are taught by Mrs Lane and supported by Miss Cobb and Mrs Bullock. Mrs Bullock teaches us on Tuesday afternoons. We do Forest School with Mrs McInness on Wednesdays. Miss Murdock is also teaching us this Summer term as she is doing her teacher training.

We had a fantastic time visiting Puxton Park to finish our topic learning about All Creatures Great and Small!
The Year 1 children went to Taunton Academy to learn some different sports skills with children from other schools in Taunton.
We made and tasted banana bread to start our English on the story Chimp and Zee, who hide in a banana basket and get up to mischief!
Our wow morning: The children created paintings to go in a story sack of the Snail and the Whale and they made algorithms to follow the snail to the whale.
Pine and Hazel started their topic by creating a large mosaic collage of The Owl and the Pussycat. Look at the amazing masterpiece they created!
We followed instructions to create indoor snowmen and wrote these instructions in English.
Pine and Hazel classes had a fantastic party with their parents. This was to celebrate and finish off our topic on Feasts and Festivities. The children wrote the invites, made hats and planned and prepared the party!
The children had an Intrasport day. They learnt tag rugby skills and competed against each other in colour groups.

We had a wow day all about Bonfire Night as the first part of our Feasts and Festivities topic work. The children made firework biscuits and pictures, a parkin cake and they thought about why we celebrate Bonfire Night.
