We are reception children.
Our teacher is Miss Bartholomew. We are supported by Mrs Prowse, Mrs Williams, Miss Grace and Mrs Bullock.

Nature Garden
In Ash class we have all been working together to make our own nature garden. We have loved exploring the different plants, animals and insects that like to visit our nature garden. We have lots of lovely plants and flowers growing at the moment and we are looking forward to seeing how these will change over the seasons.
Court Farm
Wednesday 3rd May 2017
We had a really great time at Court Farm and loved seeing all the animals. We especially enjoyed seeing Jodie the cow being milked. Once we were back at school we did some fantastic writing about what we did at the farm.
What the Ladybird Heard
18.4.17
Today, Ash class had some special visitors. It was Farmer Grabham and PC Prowse. Someone had tried to steal Farmer Grabham's prize cow and one of our school books. We had to follow some clues and a map to try to find our book. We all worked as a team and found the book. Our book was 'What the Ladybird Heard' by Julia Donaldson.
We are now looking forward to learning more about the story 'What the Ladybird Heard'.
Baboon on the Moon and Space
Ash class have just started learning about a new topic. We are learning all about space!
We are learning about Space through a short film called Baboon on the Moon.
So far we have listened to the film without watching it. We all had to draw what we thought the film was about. We then explained what we had drawn to our friends.
Ash and Holly Nativity
Ash and Holly Reception children have been so busy practicing our Nativity play. The children have learnt the story real well and were fantastic when performing the Nativity to our friends and family. We are all so proud of them!
People Who Help Us
During our topic of people who help us, Ash and Holly reception children were lucky enough to have a visit from two real Police people. PC Steve and PCSO Emma came to talk to us. We discussed how to keep ourselves safe and what to do in a emergency. They even bought a real police car for us to look at and we got to try on some Police uniform.
Superheroes! - Autumn A
Ash class have had great fun learning about Superheroes!
We read the book Supertato and we all enjoyed learning about the characters...even the evil pea!
We transformed our role play area into a superhero rescue center and the children were able to dress up as superheroes and help rescue everyone!
Thank you to everyone that create a Superhero mask for homework, we really enjoyed sharing them in class!
The Jolly Postman- Autumn B
The Jolly Postman came into Ash class and he delivered us a special parcel. Inside the parcel was lots of lovely items that have helped transform our role play into a Post Office.
The Jolly Postman asked us to write some letters back to him. We all did this. We then walked to the post box to post our letters.
