We are reception children. There are 31 children in our class.
Our teacher is Miss Bartholomew.

Our trip to Court Farm!
Ash Class had a fantastic day when we went on our trip to Court Farm. We saw lots of different animals and we even got to bottle feed the lambs! We watched a cow being milked and we went on a tractor ride.
Goldilocks and The Three Bears
Ash class have enjoyed learning about 'Goldilocks and The Three Bears'. We learnt the story using our story map and we even made our own porridge. Thank you for sending in all of your delicious breakfasts that the Three Bears could try.
The Gruffalo!
We had a very strange delivery in Ash Class. We had a picture of a mouse with a speech bubble. The mouse was telling us to go to our school woods. When we got there we found lots of unusual animals and we found some snow! We soon realized that we had found the characters from 'The Gruffalo's Child' Story.
We had great fun learning 'The Gruffalo's Child' using our story map and we even made our own Gruffalo's!
The Elves and the Shoemaker
When we came into school one morning we had a delivery. It was a box with some clothes and some shoes inside. There was also some talking tins in the box. When we listened to the talking tins, we heard some messages for us. We listened to the messages and they told us to go on a hunt around the classroom. When we looked around the classroom we found three elves!
We then enjoyed learning 'The Elves and the Shoemaker' as a Talk for Write story. We were also very busy putting the shoes in order of size.
People Who Help Us
Ash class have enjoyed learning about the different people who help us. We talked about the people who help us at school, we even had a visit from Mr Woodford! Mr Woodford asked us to go around the school and see if there were any jobs that he needed to do. We then wrote him lists of all the jobs we found for him.
We then looked at the people who help us in the community. We had a visit from Gareth a local paramedic. He talked about how we can keep ourselves safe when we are out. We were very lucky as he brought an ambulance with him! We all got to have a look inside the ambulance and he even turned the blue lights and siren on!
Little Red Hen
We have been learning the story of the Little Red Hen. The Little Red Hen came to visit us in Ash Class and delivered a basket of goodies! We have enjoyed completing different activities about the story, retelling it to our friends, and we even made our own bread!
Autumn
We enjoyed going on a walk around the school looking for signs of Autumn! We then made leaf pictures with the leaves we found on our walk.
