Rowan
Welcome to Rowan class. We are a year 2/3 class this year currently with 28 children. Mrs Bewes is the Class Teacher and Mrs Hicks helps out too!
We will post our Curriculum newsletters on this page and photos of different activities that children take part in.
Class Key Information:
PE
PE will be on a Tuesday. Pease come to school dressed in your PE kit.
Homework
Each week, children will be set an activity on TTRockStars and EdShed.
Please read with your child daily and record in their reading book so we can give them some team points!!
Phonics books are changed every Wednesday. Accelerated Reader books are changed after quizzing.

Formal Written Methods
In Year 3, the children begin to learn the formal written methods for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division (column and bus stop). If you would like to support your child with this at home, please take a look at our calculation policy to see how we teach them at school.

Rowan class enjoyed putting their balance skills into practise today in a PE lesson with Premier Sport.
Rowan class enjoyed using spaghetti and marshmallows to make 2D and 3D shapes this week. They were able to name and describe a range of shapes and had lots of fun!
In science this week the Year 2s have been out for a bug hunt! We found lots of interesting insects!
Rowan have really enjoyed their art this week, mixing colours and using different materials to make a range of textures.
This week Rowan have been exploring shape in our practical maths lesson.
