Science at Norton Fitzwarren Church School

 Science at Norton Fitzwarren is about developing our pupils ability to explore, question and deeply investigate the 'whys' in the world around them. Through a biweekly, year group approach to teaching, the children receive an immersive experience to the subject, focusing on building their subject knowledge and working scientifically skills. We follow the National Curriculum, and use Plan-to-Plan to assist planning. Every child is encouraged to 'Talk like a Scientist' to develop their Oracy skills, and we use Flashback4s and Taboo to ensure learning is embedded and revisited.
